Oscar is an AI receptionist for home service businesses, run by ZII Ltd. This page explains the text messages Oscar sends, how people agree to them, and how to stop them.

Texts to business teams

Businesses that use Oscar add the people who should hear about their calls. Oscar texts those people:

How you agree: you add your own mobile number in Oscar, on the Team page or when you accept an invitation, and choose which alerts come by text. The form says that adding a mobile means you agree to get these texts. You can turn text alerts off on the Team page at any time.

How often: it depends on how many calls the business gets, from none to several a day.

Texts to people who call a business

When you call a business that uses Oscar, Oscar may text you on the business’s behalf, signed with the business’s name:

How you agree: you give your number or agree on the call to get a text. Oscar only texts the number you called from, and doesn’t text landlines.
